Blue markers are free camping areas.

 

Green markers are paid camping areas.

Orange markers are rest stop areas. They are free but can be tarmac parking areas or grassy parks. They usually don't allow tent camping.

Map Information

* Where 'No Fires' refers to no open fires, the only method allowed in these cases are gas burner stoves.

 

* Motor-Home sizes are listed for each camping area in regards to access and room. Caravaners can use this as a guide as well. Please note that the motor-home sizes, especially large sizes are estimated and have not been tested in most cases.  Therefore, the driver should  use common sense and take responsability for their vehicle.

 

* Camping areas that allowed dogs are subject to change and many require them to be kept on leash.

 

* Camping areas in national parks require a parks pass. There are different parks passes on offer depending on your situation, the Holiday Pass is an ideal option for those visiting the state. Passes can be bought from local Parks and Wildlife offices or visit www.parks.tas.gov.au

 

* Camping fees are required at camping areas coloured in green on the map. Most the the prices listed should be accurate, however are subject to change at anytime.
